If you are planning to visit St Ives Cornwall of Southwest England, do think of vacationing in the Ayr Holiday Park – the sole highlight of its kind – nestled within half a mile from the harbor, downtown, and beaches. With the spectacular vistas across the St Ives Bay, this holiday resort is famous among the families for its premier location from where the coastal footpath, all possible water sports, fine beaches, and the town are just some steps away.

As self catering is the preferred way for a majority of UK holidaymakers because of the freedom to enjoy in one’s own way, the Ayr Holiday Park is an expert in offering a myriad of self catering homes right from the Rose Award winning caravans to the beautiful apartments all of which feature comfort, space, and handiness amidst all contemporary facilities. Why choose something else besides a retreat of FOUR STAR “excellent” quality grade?

Holiday Caravans

With pet free and smoke free rules, these have become the favorites of the backpackers. These contemporary ‘Static’ caravans are not those cold, damp, and cramped ones; but are centrally heated, spacious, clean, bright, and glossy. Expect full kitchen facilities, good sitting zones, dining areas, great sea views, and bedrooms. If you go for the largest ones, they feature two toilets so that you do not have to wait in queues as well as direct en-suite access from the master bedroom to the washroom. With the different caravan types, you can select the one as per your needs and budgets.

All caravans are well equipped with color television & video, hot and cold water, toilet, shower, sinks, wash basins, fridge, cooker, microwave oven, attractive furnishings, lounge with heaters, shaver sockets, a double bed, dressing table, wardrobe, duvets, and CD as well as DVD players (in 2003 and 2006 caravans). Rates start from £65 per night.

Holiday Apartments

These are an alternative, but are well selected, airy, pleasant, and comfortable. Choose to stay in either Carbis or Gwidden and experience the comfort of a genuine apartment. Those on the ground floor bring to you all the benefits of the Park view, accommodate four people in its two bedrooms, and are equipped with a shower; central heating; kitchen with fridge, oven, and dishwasher; and basin.

Touring and camping

The Ayr Holiday Park facilitates camping pitches for tents, touring caravans, and motor-caravans giving superb vistas over the sea and along the naturally sloping fields and terraces in Cornwall. Expect electric hook-up (16 amp), drain, a tap, clean shower and toilet block, hot water, shaver points, hair dryers, dishwashing sinks, water point, waste point, and a chemical toilet disposal point (the latter three for motor caravans).

In summer, more camping pitches for tents are on offer in a zone on the outskirts. Ives. You might want to live in one of its fully serviced pitches with the toilet as well as shower facilities in the main touring zone. At Ayr, the highest tent size is 20 feet. However, at the close by Trevalgan Touring Park, you can live in a tent of 26 feet high.
